David Finch set up DGF Engineering Ltd in 2005 with a simple ambition: to run a friendly, approachable workshop offering a personal, flexible service tailored to each customer, and to produce quality products at cost-effective prices.
As an open shop, David invites customers to visit and view the workshop and examples of the work, and to discuss in more detail the range of services on offer — including call-off orders over a designated period, discounts on BOMs of machined components, sub-assembly and different finishing options.

David and his team offer a range of machining capabilities in standard engineering metals and plastics. The skills of the production personnel and the directors' technical expertise, alongside the office organisational skills, ensure a smooth transition from enquiry to completed component.
We like to work closely with our customers and their designers to ensure the correct end result at a reasonable cost. All consultations for designing and best methods of machining are included in the service — helping eliminate potentially costly manufacturing flaws at the design stage.

Over 30 years of engineering, in one workshop.
Director David Finch has over 30 years' experience in engineering and started DGF Engineering Ltd in a small unit in Meldreth in 2005. From those beginnings, the business has grown into the workshop it is today — while keeping the same personal, hands-on approach it was founded on.
We continue to invest in CNC and manual machinery to give our customers competitive prices at the quality they expect. Quality machines and a dedicated team of precision engineers ensure accuracy is machined into every component we manufacture.
We aim to turn most quotations around within two working days. If we have to obtain quotes from a third party — such as a finishing company — this may take a little longer, and we'll always keep you informed.
