DGF Engineering Sponsors Haverhill Rovers First Team

DGF Engineering is delighted to be sponsoring Haverhill Rovers First Team and supporting a fantastic local club. This weekend marked the reveal of our new advertising board at the ground, proudly featuring our new logo and becoming the first public signage of our rebrand ahead of the 2026/27 season. As a team, we're all football fans, so being able to give something back to the game — and to a club our Operations Director Liam Fernard has personally been involved with for the past six years — makes this partnership even more special. Grassroots football plays a huge role in bringing communities together, and we're proud to be part of that. We're looking forward to supporting the team throughout the season and wish everyone at Haverhill Rovers the very best of luck.

DGF Engineering Invests in ZEISS DuraMax CMM

In July 2026, DGF Engineering invested in a new ZEISS DuraMax CMM to strengthen our inspection and quality assurance capabilities. The shop-floor coordinate measuring machine is paired with the ZEISS VAST XXT sensor, allowing us to carry out fast single-point measurement and scanning of contours and free-form surfaces — replacing the need for fixed gauges on many jobs. Built for the production environment, the DuraMax is unaffected by harsh workshop conditions and temperature changes, so we can verify turned and milled components at-line during first-off, in-process and final inspection. This investment underlines our commitment to consistent quality, tighter tolerances and faster throughput for our customers.

Exploring New Measurement Equipment with Measurement Consulting Specialists

It was great to host Tom Grice from Measurement Consulting Specialists (measurementcs.co.uk) at the workshop, spending the day with our Operations Director Liam Fernard as we explored options for a new measurement system. Tom arranged two demonstrations with different suppliers — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — and joined us throughout the day to help guide the conversation and make sure we were asking the right questions. Being able to compare different approaches back-to-back in the same setting, using our own components and applications, made it far easier to see how each system would perform in a real-world context. That independent, application-first approach is exactly why we chose to work with MCS: they help engineering businesses navigate the options with confidence and select the measurement solution that genuinely fits their work. The visit fed directly into our decision to invest in the ZEISS DuraMax CMM on the shop floor. Our thanks to Tom and the MCS team for their time, expertise and honest guidance.
